In 2017, Senate Bill 985 passed the legislature and was signed by the governor.  The amended bill contained a scaled back list of classes that are exempt from the requirement that authorized insurers file rates and forms with the Director of DCBS.  It did not contain the diligent search exemption supported by the Association and the executive director in his testimony.
