Adam Rothert

President

EDUCATION: Portland State University, Bachelors in General Management and Human Resources Management and Masters of Business Administration.

BUSINESS EXPERIENCE:
 Adam started with Rothert Insurance part-time in 1994 before joining the team full-time in 2002.  He has underwritten and processed both personal and commercial business, handled claims administration, developed marketing plans and acted as an outside sales representative.  Adam currently oversees the management team, handles the human resources role, and manages the marketing staff.  Adam has served on the AAMGA's Under Forty Organization, IIABO's Young Agent Committee, and PIA's Emerging Agents Committee.

Jim HeislerJim Heisler

EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

BUSINESS EXPERIENCE:
 Jim started in the insurance business in 1982. His primary responsibility is the administration of Indemnity Excess & Surplus Agency, Inc., where he remains active as an insurance broker and maintains & underwrites a significant book of business.  Jim was a SLAOR Board member from 2012-2014 and served as President in 2014.  Jim is currently the Legislative Committee Chair and has served on the Finance Committee since 2013.  

CURRENT POSITION: Founder and President of Indemnity Excess & Surplus Agency, Inc. (est. 1992).

Jenny Crane

Secretary-Treasurer
(Position #5: Term 2015 - 2018)

BUSINESS EXPERIENCE: Jenny began her insurance career in 1989 working for a retail insurance agency. For the next fifteen years, she worked for three retail agencies in Iowa and Minnesota focusing on personal & commercial, transportation, and office management.  In 2004 Jenny joined McFall General Agency as an underwriter and was promoted to underwriting manager in 2006.  Hull & Company, Inc. purchased McFall in November 2007 and Jenny became Vice President/Branch Manager for the Portland and Tacoma offices.  She has been a licensed producer since 1989 and obtained her Oregon surplus lines license in 2006. Jenny was a SLAOR Board member from 2011-2013 and has served on the Education Committee.  

CURRENT POSITION: Senior Vice President/Profit Center Leader for Hull & Company in Portland, OR.

M'Lissa Rutherford

Director
(Position #1: Term 2016 - 2019)

BUSINESS EXPERIENCE: M'Lissa began her insurance career in 1989 working for a retail agency in Arizona.  She moved to Portland in 1990 and was hired as a receptionist and policy typist for Crump Insurance Services, a commercial brokerage firm.  After many years of taking classes and on-the-job training, she moved up the ranks to Associate Broker, then to Broker in 2007, and Vice President in 2013.  Current duties include managing the Portland office, maintaining a book of business, administrative duties and marketing.  Crump was purchased by BB&T in 2012 and currently operates under the CRC name.

CURRENT POSITION: Vice President/Broker for CRC Insurance Services in Portland, Oregon.  

Mark Wilson

Director
(Position #2: Term 2016 - 2019)

EDUCATION: Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration from Trinity University. 
 
BUSINESS EXPERIENCE: Mark started in the insurance business in 2004 working for Allied Insurance. Transitioning to an independent agency, he became commercial lines account executive prior to joining Insurance Partners in 2005.  Mark is a licensed Property & Casualty agent, consultant, and surplus lines agent and is involved in all aspects of sales, client services, and agency operations.  In addition, Mark has earned the prestigious CPCU designation.  For Mark, the favorite part of his job is working with a variety of companies to incorporate insurance into the complete business model.  In his free time, Mark enjoys a great assortment of outdoor activities. 

CURRENT POSITION: Owner at Insurance Partners, LLC.
